I accept today I am not okay, it is beyond my control.
And go on with my day, dreary and forlorn.
Yet my soul holds on, to dreams of suns whose sons do not feud,
over land and sums, and glorious guns, believing the other a fool.
Are both not blind to castles they pride, sinking in earth they claimed will cool?
Or am I a child mortified, by men who can only be cruel?
I accept today, it is all a game, in which I did not consent,
And let this heart cast away all they do and defend.
History will heal scars of time, rubble will replenish sand,
Here is where this heart will seed love I had nowhere to plant.
Amen
